Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up – Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.
Your driver guide will pick you up from your accommodation at 7:00 AM, after which you’ll have time for a quick breakfast before setting out on the six-hour trip to Murchison Falls National Park, the first stop of your 3-day safari. For rhino trekking, head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. First, cross the Rwero River to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola, home to black and white rhinos.
After the chase, have lunch at Masindi before heading to the park. After paying the park entrance fee, you can drive to the top of the falls where you can see a variety of wildlife, including warthogs and baboons.
From a vantage point at the top of the falls, you can see the beautiful waterfall weaving through the rocks of the 8-metre-deep canyon below. Please take as many pictures as possible. Then drive to the resort and spend the night doing nothing but relaxation.
Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Trip on the Nile.
After breakfast, your driver and guide will pick you up at the lodge at 7am to start the game drive. During your safari drive you will have a great opportunity to see a variety of wildlife including lions, buffalo, giraffes, elephants, antelopes, waterbucks and birds.
At 11 o’clock you will return from the game drive and return to the safari lodge for refreshments before lunch. Then take an afternoon Nile cruise. The banks of the Nile are home to a wide variety of wildlife, including crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and elephants, as well as a wide variety of spectacular birds, and the calls of birds such as bee-eaters and kingfishers can be heard from boats, bill-billed stork and many other birds. After a boat ride to the base of the falls, enjoy spectacular views of majestic Murchison Falls from the base of the falls.
Return from your boat ride and drop off at the wharf. Afterwards, drive back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Day 3: Return to Kampala.
On the last day of your trip, enjoy your final breakfast in the great outdoors. Check out of the lodge and transfer back to Kampala. You will arrive and later be dropped off at any place of your choice or airport for you flight home.
