Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your guide will meet you and drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Admire the lush vegetation and make short photo stops near the equator. Afterwards, check into your lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Enganzi Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Afternoon Boat Cruise
Today, after breakfast at your hotel, set out on an exciting game drive along the tracks of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Drive along changing trails, observing a wide variety of wildlife roaming in their natural habitat. Animals such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, hyenas, warthogs and alibi can be seen. Stop by for lunch.
After a delicious lunch, head to Kazinga Strait for a scenic cruise to see hippos, crocodiles and birdlife. After return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Enganzi Safari Lodge.
Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Today get excited as you are going to watch the rare Mountain Gorillas of Uganda. After breakfast at the lodge you are driven to the South Western Part of Uganda at Bwindi Forest National Park to trek and watch the Mountain Gorillas for 3-5 hours. Your journey lasts to about 7-8 hours and on arrival at the Park, check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
Have your breakfast early, before 6am. At 7.30am we set off to the park headquarters for a short briefing on the gorilla code of conduct. Upon arrival at the headquarters, you will be briefed and divided into groups of eight, each with one of his park ranger guides. You will then travel to the trailhead and from there enter the forest to observe gorillas in their natural habitat and observe forest vegetation.
Your guide will clear the way for you and follow the different paths as you cut through the piercing branches and overgrown grass. Then, spend 3-5 hours meeting the gorillas, staying there and taking lots of photos of the fort. During the trek, you will enter the forest and the terrain will change. You will then meet the gorillas at a distance of 7 meters and take various pictures of them feeding, nursing, playing, communicating and patrolling.
After your Gorilla Trekking Adventure, return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Rushaga Gorilla Camp.
Day 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Rwanda
Today have breakfast and later embark on drive to traverse the border to Musanze Ruhengeri District of Rwanda. Follow different raised canopies following misty rolling hills of Rwanda then after hours driving, you reach the Park and check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Ingagi Park View Lodge.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Today is Gorilla Trekking Day as you transfer to the Park headquarters for briefing on the code of conduct around the Mountain Gorillas then later enter the forest with a park ranger guide to trek the Mountain Gorillas in 3-5 hours according to the current location of the Gorillas.
On meeting them after hiking, trekking and traversing numerous trails in the forest, take various photos to keep as reference. After Gorilla Trekking return back to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight. Engagi Park View Lodge.
Day 7: Return to Uganda – Lake Mburo National Park
Embark on your drive traversing the Uganda Rwanda border Eastwards via Mbarara to Lake Mburo National Park. Enjoy views of the green vegetation terrain, birds as well as lunch then later you reach the Park and check-in your lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
Wildlife animals you watch here en-route are Impala, Waterbuck, Eland, Zebra, Buffalo, Klipspringers, Crested Crane, and the elusive Shoebill Stork. Rwakobo Rock Lodge.
Day 8: Guided Nature walk – Departure
Today you embark on a guided nature walk around the forest vegetation terrain in Lake Mburo National Park watching wildlife animals like zebra, Impala, African Eland then later embark on departure to Kampala or the Entebbe International Airport to board your flight back home.
